Conference Paper: The Optimisation of High-Rises in Vienna
Last week we presented a new conference paper at CAADRIA 2022 (International Conference for The Association for Computer-Aided Architectural Design Research in Asia) in Sydney.
In the paper we outline a framework for the environmental performance assessment and optimisation of highrise buildings. The study exemplifies the potential of automated model generation and ML (Machine Learning) accelerated simulatios in real-time to explore a project’s performance potential.

In total we generated 5000 tower variants, each of which was evaluated upon six KPI assessing the impact on shading, wind-comfort and energy efficiency. Finally, the generated designs were analysed through a Design and Performance Space Exploration approach using a newly developed dashboard.
